This page covers the waddleby.com website. The Waddleby app isn't out yet; when it ships, it gets its own privacy policy. Spoiler: the duck is designed so your conversations stay on your Mac.
Who is responsible
The data controller for this website is the maker of Waddleby. For anything privacy-related, write to [email protected] — a human reads it.
What we collect
One thing: the email address you type into the waitlist form. There is no account, no analytics, no tracking pixels, and no cookies on this site. Fonts and scripts are served from our own host, so your visit doesn't ping Google or any other third party.
Why, and on what basis
We use your email for exactly one purpose: to send you one message when Waddleby launches. That's the deal you agree to by submitting the form (consent, in GDPR terms — Article 6(1)(a)). No newsletters, no “exciting updates”, no sharing with anyone else.
Who processes it
The form is handled by Formspree (Formspree, Inc., USA), which receives and stores the address on our behalf. Formspree processes it under its own privacy policy and uses EU Standard Contractual Clauses for transfers outside the EU.
How long we keep it
Until the launch email goes out, plus a short cleanup window — then the list is deleted. If Waddleby somehow never hatches, we'll delete the list instead of sitting on it.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — any time, no reason needed. One email to [email protected] and it's gone. If you're in the EU and think we've handled your data badly, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes
If this page changes in any way that matters, the date at the top changes with it. We won't quietly expand what we collect.
